I updated the invoicing plugin to version 5.2.0 yesterday, thinking that this might resolve the issue. Before that, I’d been using version 3.0.8 on my site. Unfortunately, yesterday’s update didn’t sort it out, so could it possibly be related to changes introduced in version 6.5.1 to 6.6.0?") File: back/falang/translationHikashop_product_categoryFilter.php (installed to administrator/components/com_falang/contentelements/) Version: 6.6.0, package downloaded 2026-09-08 In _createfilterHTML(), the variable $categoryOptions is only assigned inside the foreach loop: $category_list = $db->loadObjectList(); foreach($category_list as $k=>$category){ $categoryOptions[$k] = \Joomla\CMS\HTML\HTMLHelper::_('select.option', ...); } ... $options = array_merge($allCategoryOptions, $categoryOptions); It is never initialized before the loop. If the query returns no rows, $categoryOptions stays undefined and is passed to array_merge(). On PHP 8 this is a fatal error: array_merge(): Argument #2 ($arrays) must be of type array, null given The query only returns rows when at least one product is linked to a category, so the empty result happens when the shop has no products yet, or when no product is assigned to any category. Suggested fix, one line before the loop: $categoryOptions = array(); How this was found, and what it is not: I updated Falang Pro from 6.8 to 6.9 and asked Claude (an AI assistant) to compare the affected files so I would know which of my manual patches had to be reapplied. During that review it noticed this uninitialized variable and recommended that I report it to you. I then downloaded the current HikaShop Business package on 2026-09-08 and confirmed the code is still unchanged in 6.6.0. So this is a code review remark, not a reproduced bug. I have not seen the error on my own site: all of my products are assigned to categories, so the query is never empty here. Please weigh it accordingly. My environment: Joomla 6.1 / PHP 8 / HikaShop Business 6.6.0 / Falang Pro 6.9 By the way, thank you for switching this file from JFactory / JHtml / JText to the namespaced classes in 6.6.0. I have Display > Product Options > Product Selection Method set to "checkbox," and the option is added to the cart regardless of whether it's checked on the product page. Changing this setting to "single dropdown" seems to clear the issue and functions as intended. I can also uncheck the option in the cart's edit screen to remove it. I'm wondering if the checkbox on the cart's edit screen defaults to "checked" regardless of the customer's choice, but I'm not 100% certain. I also switched to the Cassiopeia template to rule out Gantry and the Chimera theme, but got the same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!") When I select one or multiple orders, click the "Actions" button, choose "Change status" and explicitly uncheck the "Send notification email" checkbox, the email is still being sent to the customers. Upon debugging, we found that the issue is located in the massaction_order plugin (plugins/hikashop/massaction_order/massaction_order.php). In the onProcessOrderMassActionchangeStatus function, the code checks for the existence of the notify variable using isset(): // Around line 535 if(isset($action)){ if(!isset($element->history) \|\| !is_object($element->history)) $element->history = new stdClass(); $element->history->history_notified = 1; } Because the DOM/form can submit an empty value or "0" when the checkbox is unchecked, isset() evaluates to true and blindly forces $element->history->history_notified = 1, completely ignoring the unchecked state. On Joomla 6 these legacy names are only available through the "Behaviour - Backward Compatibility 6" plugin (compat6). Due to the known Joomla core issue #46233 the behaviour plugin group is no longer guaranteed to load before the system/search plugin group, so any code path that imports search plugins crashes before compat6 has had a chance to register the class aliases. Reference: issues.joomla.org/tracker/joomla-cms/46233 Reproduction in our environment: - Joomla 6.1.0 Stable [Nyota], 14 April 2026 - HikaShop Business 6.4.1 - JCE Editor (latest) - Open any article in the backend, click the "Insert/Edit Link" toolbar button. - JCE internally calls PluginHelper::importPlugin('search'), which loads our two plugins. - Fatal error: Class "JPlugin" not found in /plugins/search/hikashop_categories/hikashop_categories.php:12 The error vanishes immediately after replacing class plgSearchHikashop_products extends JPlugin with class plgSearchHikashop_products extends \Joomla\CMS\Plugin\CMSPlugin in both files (and the same edit for the categories plugin). For full Joomla 6 cleanliness, JPluginHelper should also become \Joomla\CMS\Plugin\PluginHelper and JRegistry should become \Joomla\Registry\Registry. This will likely affect every customer running HikaShop on Joomla 6, and it will hit hard once Joomla 7 ships and the compat6 layer is removed for good. I suspect that users who have items in their cart run into this as that fires the plugin. I;m still confirming on my end but wanted to get this to you right away in case that header problem might be in more than this just one place. In 6.1.1, our order stat tiles displayed as four columns in a single row. After updating to 6.2.0, the last tile now wraps onto a second row. This appears to be caused by the introduction of the hk-dashboard-row / hk-dashboard-wrapper structure and the way the dashboard grid is now split into separate rows. In 6.1.1 each tile was a direct child of the container, allowing all four tiles to display in one row. In 6.2.0, the tiles are grouped into separate hk-dashboard-wrapper divs with hkc-lg-12 classes, forcing them to stack vertically.
