For the other problem, ye,s you should try to overwrite the files with the new ones via FTP. We'll check again the problem on our end tomorrow as it's getting late over here. If you change the code after confirming the order, nothing will happen as you experienced. The AUP points do show up when I manually reset order status to created then confirmed in the backend. I do not see your first point. When you go to the checkout, even before the order is created, when the user registers, his account is added to AUP with 0 points.
