No, the plugin available on this thread won't work on Joomla 4 and Joomla 5 as it is almost 10 years old.
However, since then, we've created a marketplace and offer an up to date version of that same plugin for free on this page of the marketplace:

The version available there will work on Joomla 4 and 5.
