If you're talking about having that field on the product page, you should create a new custom field of the table "item" via the menu Display->Custom fields (Business edition). There is nothing else to do. So I guess I have to add a custom field but of what type? I cant find the correct one?? There are no custom fields handling for that form. That would require a customization of the view and a small hikashop plugin to be built. You can potentially modify the email files via FTP in the folder media/com_hikashop/mail but you will loose your changes when you update unlike with the interface email edition method.
