You will need to create several shipping methods and use the volume restrictions in order to display the free shipping/air mail methods only for products with dimensions and without weight. The other shipping methods would have restrictions on a minimum weight so that they only display when at least a product with a weight is in the cart. Then the shipping methods will be filtered during the checkout based on the restrictions and you will be able to have what you want. For example, you could set a specific volume in your product and in your free shipping method set a minimum volume and a maximum volume so that only that product would be able to trigger the display of that shipping method. You will need to create several shipping methods if you want to handle more than one case per order. If you plan on changing this mod, please let me know -- here's how it works: Unpublished entry is read by system for the discount. All other shipping methods in UPS work the way required.
