One option is to use the manual shipping, activate the "use price by product" option and then, in the edition of your product, add a 5€ charge on the product. I was thinking that I might add a custom field to indicate that a product could only ever have a quantity of 1. I would then need to change the code where it updates the price to interrogate that field and override the quantity if it was true. Do you think that is feasible? I would recommend to just change the error message which is displayed in such cases to something else like "your product has been added to the cart" and that will be pretty out of the box.
