What I believe has been happening is that some customers have been creating an order and going through the checkout process until they are redirected to paypal, yet once on the paypal site they do not complete the payment but just leave instead. However, even though the payment has not been made, as soon as the client is redirected to paypal my client receives an e-mail saying this order has been created so he has been shipping them out without actually receiving payment!! I know that these orders come up as "created" whereas once the payment has been made it will say "confirmed", but I'd really rather it not even create the order and send my client a notification until payment has been completed and order is confirmed. Is this possible? However, it's possible to not send the order creation email notification. You can go in the config, under the tab mails. There, if you empty the option "Order creation notifications email address", the order creation notification won't be sent and only payment notification emails will be. Thank you. One more question - if the user makes a payment with paypal that does not immediately clear, so the payment is pending - will this be reported to hikashop as a confirmed or just created order? As long as hikashop does not receive a notification from paypal for that order, it will stay like this. Sometimes, payments are suspended for 1 week on the paypal side and the payment notification only comes after that. So, if the user doesn't pay for the order on paypal, the order will stay as created. It will be confirmed only when it receives the payment notification from paypal.
