We are looking to use both Square and Quickbooks to enable our users to purchase apparel, book an event, pay club dues, etc, and Square requires that our site is encrypted, with SSL certificates. Is this correct? BTW we love hikashop, but my group is really slow with decision making and, embarrassingly, we have not yet set up payments. However, even Google will downgrade your ranking on their results if you don't have a SSL certificate on your website. So I strongly recommend getting one. The Let's encrypt website provide free SSL certificates: [ letsencrypt.org/](https://letsencrypt.org/) And some hosting even partner with it to provide free SSL to their customers without any complex setup.
