So the taxes will only apply if the address of the current user is in Canada or if the "main tax zone" setting of the HikaShop configuration is set to Canada if the current user doesn't have an address. All my users are in Canada, so I added that to see if it made a difference. Can you please give a clear step by step list to add 5% GST to a specific product? For example price without tax: $100, price including tax $105. It should then work automatically without doing anything else, based on what I see on your screenshots with what you already have configured. Just make sure that the tax category of the products match with the tax category of the tax rule like it is already the case with the "GST" tax category on your screenshots.
