Now the the project demo.aappakadai.com is ready for production launch but we are facing an issue with the Address edit options of SHIPPING address and Billing Address in checkout page. Nothing is happening if the we click on the new button (EDIT) option except the page reload. I think it should show the address Iframe as per the code but it is not happening. HOpe you could guide me in solving this issue in better way instead of i sit and fiddle around the code. So advice me how i could proceed to solve this issue. My settings are set to apply discounts before tax. I have 5% tax on products in the EU I have a discount of 4.763% for products in the EU (to cancel out the VAT) This works fine. Ie. €45,95 (ExVAT price) * 0.95237 (we pay the VAT discount) * 1.05 (VAT) = €45,95 However problems start when I add a coupon which offers 15% off. The coupon is set to default behaviour and is for 15% When added to the €45,95 product example above the price comes out as €39,39 (including what it states is €1,86 for VAT) ???? The only way I can achieve this (when calculating on paper) is as follows: Apply the 4.763% discount to the coupon (15%) i.e. 14.28555% off Then apply this to the ExVAT price: 45.95 * 0.8571445 = 39.385 (rounds up to 39.39) VAT is then ignored (but is retrospectively calulated from the figure above for display purposes) Obviously this is very wrong. If I've done something wrong - great - please let me know how to fix the issue with configurations etc. However If I'm right (and since the discount without coupon is fine, I suspect this is more likely) - there is a serious issue and it needs to be fixed. Creating a discount to couter act the VAT is perhaps unusual, but the same issue would occur if you needed to apply a trade discount first, and then offered your trade customers a coupon - perhaps a more common senareo. This is a fairly time sensitive issue for me as the site that uses HikaShop was to launch their coupon to customers today, but cannot until we work this out. The same was working in the previous version. The product type does not require an account to purchase, nor do I want it to. I've discovered though, (after an online customer experienced a problem purchasing), that the only way the Next button will appear is when one is logged in. Under configuration/checkout, I have set the Login & Registration with multiple combinations but with no success in rectifying the issue. Cache has been cleared with each change I've made. It used to work with Yes Login and No Registration, which served this and the other product types I have. And it continues to work on an old back up I have on my local server. If it helps any, you recently assisted me in a different issue surrounding a questions product with variables that discontinued working upon upgrade. In that case I had to enable Display 'add to cart' button for free products. I disabled the above to see if that was causing my issue, with no success, and have since re-enabled. An anonymous user, on adding an item to the shopping cart sees the mini cart module in the sidebar showing no items. As soon as a user logs-in those items are there and waiting for that user to proceed to checkout. It used to be the case that anonymous users could add to cart and this would be reflected in the mini-cart contents. This change in behaviour occurred after upgrading to 2.1.2 today. I have checked all the settings and can see nothing unexpected. Anonymous users, on visiting the shop, need to see their cart contents so that they can proceed to checkout. The way I have configured the system is that the mini cart is the ONLY way to proceed to checkout. What could be the problem? Thanks, Ric Added after further tests: ----- It looks as though the problem was nothing to do with the upgrade to 2.1.2. The problem is that to improve performance I had turned caching on. Joomla does not appear to handle caching selectively: it's all or nothing. However there is now a problem that may be due to the 2.1.2 upgrade. When items are added or deleted from the cart, the mini-module displays the items. If the item quantity is changed in the mini cart (and the update button clicked) the total price is calculated incorrectly. If the option proceed to checkout is taken then quantities can also be changed during the latter stages of checkout. Changing quantities there does calculate amounts correctly. However the correct amount is not displayed correctly in the mini-cart. All caching is off, system cache plugin didabled, browser cache cleared. It was another glitch due to a modification for the 2.1.2 release. That's fixed now. Please download hikashop again and install it again on your website and that will work. The best is to avoid overrides as much as possible. A lot of the customization can actually be done with CSS or the options already there. If you need to override a view, then the best is to actually try to only add code to it and remove the rest and use an include to call the original view file so that your code simply modify the data before it is used. Also, we have view triggers which allow you to modify the data before the display and another one to modify the HTML after the display of a view and thus you can use plugins to modify the views without overrides. If you need to override a view, then the best is to actually try to only add code to it and remove the rest and use an include to call the original view file so that your code simply modify the data before it is used. Also, we have view triggers which allow you to modify the data before the display and another one to modify the HTML after the display of a view and thus you can use plugins to modify the views without overrides.
