If yes, then you can create an auto loaded coupon restricted to that category with a minimum number of products of 5 and a flat discount price corresponding to the price of a product in that category. Upon checkout, if you have 5 products of that category, the coupon will be loaded automatically and you'll get the discount deduced from the total. The products can be of a different price. And the free product comes from another categorie.
