Please make sure that you have the latest version installed as the previous version (1.4.2 I think) had some bugs which could create such problem. Also, please check that your Joomla template is able to display messages: [ hikashop.com/download/languages.html#modify](https://hikashop.com/download/languages.html#modify) The system might not be able to add the coupon and display an error message but if the template doesn't display it then you don't see it. Also, Could you do a screenshot of the options of your coupon ?
