| [](/forum/50-feature-request/887671-listing-product-to-map-floor) | [listing product to map floor](/forum/50-feature-request/887671-listing-product-to-map-floor "-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.4 -- Joomla version -- : 3.6.2 -- PHP version -- : 5.5 Hi i test convert a list_listing.php file to manage place seat location on a map plan floor. So I take a seat plan with 746 items ( see the capture screen ) I try to render this using hikashop and client technology ( best is using svg or html with css). With 5 items no issue but with 746 here the capture screen of the page !!! I think optimisation is the way to go and code that are not show and not use must be remove . I see strange way to manage the form in my hikashop web server and study the hikashop demo web site to be sure i have in my local server the same behaviour than hikashop . And yes hiaksho manage send information ( form) for each product . In Hikashop all the "add to" button (add to card or add to whilist) are inside the same form but a new form is use for each product item . Here the structure of hikashop demo site I have a look to magento demo website and i don't see a form around each checkout button . So it seem magento succeed to avoid the use of around each product and there is a javascript way to do that . here the code . I think that use one for manage all the items instead use for each product their own should reduce the memory issue . I am not an expert but i think form can be code using javascript only ( magento code seem to do that) so my question ll be : Does use one form in product list can be achieve ? in a way if yes it mean that all code in form for each item product are the same for each item that have their own form !! I really think hikashop team try to make hikashop easy to use but harder for people like me who want to understand the code and change override some hikashop extension ti use them the way i want !! Now is the time to discuss DELETING a downloadable product in the IMAGES AND FILES section of a product. I normally don't give my clients FTP or server access. Experience has shown that this is a very bad idea. But with downloadable products (PDFs, MP3s, etc.), clients sometimes need to update those files. The problem is that deleting the FILES inside the product page does not delete the file from the server: /home/[user]/public_html/media/com_hikashop/upload/safe The duplicate files create strange filenames: MusicA_82374896.pdf That is confusing when the customer downloads the file. They think that something is wrong with it. Now that we use Amazon S3 for the 'safe' resource, updating a product file is even more difficult. A button to DELETE THE FILE (whether it is on the local server or S3) would be great.") The Idea: Is it possible to add a feature on the product creation/edit page that allows us to create a new custom field on the fly (inline) and immediately fill in its value for that specific product, without having to navigate away to the Custom Fields management section? Why it’s useful: In stores with a large number of diverse products, we often encounter the need for unique or new specifications while adding a product. Currently, the process requires: * Leaving the product page. * Going to Custom Fields, creating the field, and saving. * Returning to the product page, finding the product again, and filling out the field. Having an "Add New Field" modal or quick-creation button directly within the product form would save an incredible amount of time and streamline catalog management. What do you think about this idea? Is there any workaround or existing plugin that achieves something similar? Thanks for your amazing work on HikaShop!") You are right that the address confirmation button did not stand out enough. We have changed that for a future release: the address "OK" button now gets the same highlighted style as the other main buttons, so it stands out as the main action of that step. The button always has the class hikashop_checkout_address_ok_button, so you can target it directly: 2) The same class we are adding by default, via a view override. While customising the invoice template for one of my clients, I noticed something small that you might want to look into when you have a moment. The store address from the HikaShop configuration is printed on a single line in the generated PDF, even though the address in the config contains line breaks. Ideally those line breaks would show up on the invoice as well. Looking at the code with AI in plugins/hikashop/attachinvoice/attachinvoice/invoice.php (around line 134), I think it might be related to this line: $store = str_replace(array('\r\n','\n','\r'),array('','',''),$config->get('store_address','')); If I'm reading it correctly (read AI ;-), the search strings are wrapped in single quotes, which in PHP means the \r and \n are interpreted as literal characters (backslash + letter) rather than actual newline characters. Since the address in the config contains real newlines, the replacement doesn't find a match.") We are currently using HikaShop for an automotive parts webshop, and we have a specific use case that we are not sure how to properly implement with the default system. Our structure: We have products structured like this: Product A: SKU 12312 contains 7 variants (e.g. Variant 1–7) Product B: SKU 43234 also contains 7 corresponding variants (Variant 1–7) Requirement: We need to establish a relationship at variant level, not at product level. For example: Variant 5 of product 12312 (e.g. front left brakedisc) should automatically be associated with Variant 5 of product 43234 (e.g. front right brakedisc) This pairing is consistent across all variants (1–7), meaning each variant index should map to the same index in the paired product. Issue: We noticed that HikaShop’s “related products” feature works only at product level and not at variant (child product) level. We also could not find a built-in way to assign related products individually per variant. Question: Is there any native way in HikaShop to: assign related products per variant / characteristic value, or implement variant-to-variant relationships between different parent products? If not, could you recommend the best practice or extension approach for handling this kind of cross-product variant pairing? We would like to avoid custom hacks if there is an intended or recommended solution. Thank you very much for your help. Sometimes I forget to mention that, but I really appreciate how hard you all work. I have a request regarding the Price Calculation Plugin. I recently started using it, and it works great. For the first calculation form, we’ve created five rules (as you can see), and more will follow soon. However, there’s one issue: it’s currently not possible to add comments next to the conditions or formulas. Once we have several formulas in the future, it will be hard to remember which rule belongs to which form, or what the logic behind each formula was. It would be really helpful if an extra column could be added where we can place our own comments. Currently, it’s not possible to use punctuation marks (like . or ,) or HTML tags within this field. For example, the following works fine: But this does not work: Allowing punctuation and simple HTML would make it possible to create richer tooltips — for instance, to give users short explanations or hints about a field directly in the form. This would be especially useful for YOOtheme Pro users, since it uses UIkit, which supports tooltips via the uk-tooltip attribute. Thanks a lot for considering this feature enhancement! A cleaner way is to add it as javascript code in a view override. For example in product / show_default.php you could add: where xxx is the id of the input on the page. There are several advantages to this: - you don't need to use the attribute setting, so there are no restrictions to what you can do in it. - having javascript code inside the database is not "clean". Code should ideally be in files. This way, you can also have coloration on the code to make it easier to write / maintain - you can improve this code to add a notification box and potentially other things in the future more easily. - if you have different fields for different products, you can have all the code in one place in that override instead of spreading it in different custom fields in the database. That way, if different fields require the same processing, they can use the same function and thus avoid cod duplication. - using addEventListener instead of oninput, onchange etc is better because you can have several listeners on an input while you can only have one oninput and one onchange, etc attribute per HTML element. - you don't need to wait for the patch in the next version.") 1 year 4 weeks ago by [nicolas](/forum/user/63-nicolas "View nicolas's Profile") | Replies:5 Views:718 | [Last Post](/forum/50-feature-request/909777-request-allow-html-and-punctuation-in-the-attributes-field-for-custom-fields#368924 "Hi, Note that you don't need this to be added as an attribute.
