We get exactly this error from HikaSerial (your HikaSubscription add-on) when the order gets confirmed: a "Serial Per Order" entry (or a pack added by hand to the order) still points to a serial pack that has since been deleted. When the payment confirms the order, HikaSerial tries to add serials from that missing pack and stops with "Attempt to assign property "quantity" on null". The order is already confirmed at that point, which is why it still goes through. To stop it now, go to Components > HikaSerial > Plugins, open "Serial Per Order - HikaSerial plugin" and look at the entries listed there: one whose Pack column is empty points to a deleted pack. Edit it and choose an existing pack, or unpublish or delete it if you no longer need it. In an order affected by this, the Serials area of the order also shows an "Order assignation" line with no pack name. We have prepared a fix for HikaSerial so that a missing pack is skipped instead of causing this error. It will come in a HikaSerial update, which your current maintenance covers. It looks like a Joomla 6 compatibility issue, so I thought I'd share what I found. Our setup: Joomla 6.1.3, PHP 8.4.25, HikaShop Business 6.6.0 and YOOtheme Pro 5. The checkout menu item is set in the HikaShop configuration (checkout_itemid 434, SEF name "afrekenen"). What happens: when a visitor has something in their cart and opens the checkout without an Itemid in the URL, they get a 500 page saying "0 - A key is required". For example: www.greenfirezuidlaren.nl/component/hikashop/checkout We mostly saw this through old add-to-cart links like /component/hikashop/product/updatecart/add-1/cid-66, which redirect to that URL. A few things I noticed while testing: - With an empty cart (or no session at all) there's no error, you just get redirected to the product listing. - As soon as there's any Itemid in the URL, even one that doesn't exist, HikaShop redirects nicely to the checkout menu item. - It also happens with tmpl=component and format=raw, so it's not the template. I briefly turned on Joomla debug to get the stack trace: 1 JROOT/libraries/vendor/joomla/database/src/DatabaseQuery.php:1890 2 Joomla\Database\DatabaseQuery->bind() JROOT/libraries/vendor/joomla/database/src/DatabaseQuery.php:1988 3 Joomla\Database\DatabaseQuery->bindArray() JROOT/libraries/src/Language/Associations.php:126 4 Joomla\CMS\Language\Associations::getAssociations() JROOT/administrator/components/com_menus/src/Helper/MenusHelper.php:281 5 Joomla\Component\Menus\Administrator\Helper\MenusHelper::getAssociations() JROOT/components/com_hikashop/controllers/checkout.php:159 6 checkoutController->show() JROOT/libraries/src/MVC/Controller/BaseController.php:738 7 hikashopController->execute() JROOT/administrator/components/com_hikashop/helpers/helper.php:3167 8 require_once() JROOT/components/com_hikashop/hikashop.php:85 So as far as I can tell, line 159 of checkout.php calls MenusHelper::getAssociations() with an empty menu item id when there's no Itemid. Joomla 6 then hands an empty array to bindArray(), which throws the exception. Joomla 5 didn't complain about this, which is probably why it hasn't come up before. I noticed the changelog for 6.5.1 mentions a change to this same block (the multilingual menu associations in the checkout, which now only runs when the Joomla classes exist). Maybe a check on the menu item id could be added there as well. We're on 6.6.0, which is the latest version available to us. A simple guard would probably fix it: only call getAssociations() when the menu item id is above 0, or fall back to the configured checkout_itemid first. For now I've added this to our .htaccess as a workaround, and that works fine: Because of that workaround, the link above now redirects instead of showing the error. Best regards, Sinus") Category: [Checkout](/forum/27-checkout "Everything about the checkout process in Hikashop") Topic started 1 week 2 days ago, by [Sinus](/forum/user/44473-sinus "View Sinus's Profile") [Last Post](/forum/27-checkout/100000049-title-500-error-a-key-is-required-when-opening-checkout-without-itemid-jooml#100000252 "Thanks for the quick fix and the explanation! When the payment confirms the order, HikaShop sends the order status notification email to the buyer, and the plugin attaches the invoice to it. It is the same if the order is created directly with the confirmed status. For the seller, the admin notification email doesn't get the invoice. Instead, enter your email address in the "Send a copy to" setting of the plugin. You then receive a copy (in BCC) of the email sent to the buyer, with the invoice attached. You can enter several addresses separated by commas. Two things to check if the invoice doesn't arrive: - the "Order status notification" email must be published in HikaShop > System > Emails - by default, the invoice is only attached when the order gets the confirmed status of your configuration. If you want it for other statuses too, list them in the "Statuses for email attachment" setting of the plugin, for example: confirmed, shipped") 1 month 1 week ago by [nicolas](/forum/user/63-nicolas "View nicolas's Profile") | Replies:6 Views:186 | [Last Post](/forum/27-checkout/910818-display-weight-of-products-in-invoice#373413 "Hi, Yes, the PDF invoice is attached automatically, you don't need to do anything for each order. Both with latest Hikashop version 6.6.0. The import/export had to happen through myPHP export/import before being able to use the migration tool. However, now, everything seems to have moved fine. Everything is there, orders, payment plugins, products, workflow etc. However, the checkout workflow seems to stop after having entered the address, when pressing next, it ends up being on the same page (address/login) again and it doesn't move on to the payment step. Sometimes it brings an error about a token. And sometimes, it quickly shows a 401. Any idea what went wrong and how I could fix it?") On our site, the guest checkout currently goes through without any issue, even when the email matches an existing account. We just want to confirm whether this is the expected/normal behavior, or if there's something in our configuration that should be changed.
