Your hand made block is not one of those blocks, so it always keeps the main product value. The fix is to reproduce that same swap for your field, entirely in template overrides. Three small edits: 1) In your product layout override, wrap your block in a container HikaShop can target, and use a class instead of the id on the inner div (the id would otherwise be duplicated once per variant): 2) Override show_variants.php and add, next to the other per variant hidden blocks, a source block for your field: 3) Add this small script once (for example at the bottom of your product layout override). It copies the selected variant's block into the visible one each time a variant is chosen: That reproduces exactly how HikaShop swaps its built in fields (name, price, description) for your custom field, so your box updates as the customer changes the variant. One note: your custom field is a field on the product table, so it is a real column, and each variant is a product row that carries its own value. On the product management page, in the Form customization section, I created a block called Intro info and moved the intro_text custom field into this new block. So far, everything is correct. But when I tried to position this block next to the Description block, everything gets messed up and when I save the product page, the Intro info block goes back to its original position, at the bottom of all blocks. This problem did not exist in version 6.1 And I could drag and drop to change the location of different blocks. In version 6.5 this could only be done with the Move up and Move down buttons, but the new block that is created does not have these buttons and the drag and drop function does not work either.") For context on what you were seeing: the pinkish-gray square is the placeholder HTML2PDF draws when it cannot actually load an image. Our PDF plugin tries to make image loading reliable by detecting img src attributes that point at your site URL and rewriting them to the equivalent local filesystem path (so the library reads the file directly instead of going through HTTP). It also probes each image with getimagesize() and logs an "Image not accessible" warning to the HikaShop log when it fails. But that whole machinery only helps when the underlying file is actually readable by the PHP process; if it is not (file permissions, open_basedir restriction, or anything else that blocks the read) the placeholder is the final result. Base64 sidesteps all of that because the bytes travel inside the HTML itself, no file lookup is needed at PDF time, so it works in environments where direct path access does not. One bug to fix in your snippet: "$mime = $logoInfo;" assigns the whole array returned by getimagesize instead of the MIME type, which produces "data:Array;base64,..." in the src attribute. With this, it reads all the MySQL queries and when something matches with a content element it supports, it will run another query to look for the translations and dynamically replace the text on the frontend. So, in the Falang backend interface, if you go to the "Content elements" menu of Falang, you can see all the content elements it supports. There, you can select the ones you don't want Falang to take into account and delete them. The less content elements you have in Falang, the less queries it will have to process. If you only need it for a few content elements in HikaShop, you can delete all the other ones and it will drastically help reduce the toll of using Falang on your pages speed. 2. For this purpose I think I have to create some type of custom field. It must be a text field for the backend (input) and has to be shown as text information on the frontend (product page). So I guess I should use the table "article" - but what field type? The only "text" type seems the "custom text" field, but this shows only one (!) global text information. But I have to set an individual text per product. Please help! ;)") Category: [Content Creation](/forum/32-content-creation "If you want to know more about the different options of the product and category creation.") I did this with variants. Some of the products have up to 800 variants. First you choose a category, the category will load all the products in the category. But when you choose a product, it takes like 20 to 30 seconds the page. No need to explain that that is too long ;-) What can we do to speed this up? Or is that just how it is wit variants?") A variant is like a product. So, if you have 800 variants for a product, the system has to load all 800 variants on the page. So it is similar to displaying a listing of 800 products on the frontend. It would also be as slow. Now, there are very few cases where you really need that many variants. In most cases, you can do the same with custom fields of the table "item": www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/4...shop-field-form.html These won't require much loading so you can have dozens of fields with dozens of values for each without any speed difference on the product page load.
