Does "HikaShop group plugin" add or change user groups?

Hello,

we want to implement multiple subscriptions via purchasable user groups (products with user-group-after plugin feature).

If someone (user group Registered) "buys" into user group A (sub-group of registered), he will be in usergroup "Registered" and "A".

If he then continued to "buy" into user group B (also subgroup of registered), will he lose usergroup A? Will he be "Registered", "A" and "B" then, or does he change to "Registered" and "B"?

If he changes, is it possible to make B a sub-usergroup of A to keep the access to A content?

Hi,

He will be in all three user groups in your example.
Please note that I would recommend to use HikaSerial Subscriptions if you plan on selling subscriptions as we made it specifically for that:

The advantage over using the "user group after purchase" option, is that HikaSerial will keep track of the subscriptions so that:
- when the subscription expires, the user will be removed from the user group automatically
- the customer can renew to extend his subscription period
- before the subscription expires, the system can sent reminder emails automatically

We currently don't need automatic expiration, but it's good to know, in case that changes.
