There is no option to do that. You would have to develop your own filtering module in that case. 2. With the filters yes. You can create filters applying on each of your custom product fields, which will then allow the customers to show a list of products based on what they select in these filters. 3. Yes, you can create several filters and have them work together for the filtering of the products listings. You can only select one category there. It has no incidence on the categories which would be listed inside the filter. I try to understand the logic ( database cell format , hks BE GUI , joomla core) of hikashop compare to joomla choice implementation of some extension . If i take date : -joomla core use datetime -hikashop use int ( like product_sale_end ) -hikashop use for custom field a date picker store in text format ? ( perhaps i write a mistake ) From a php ( and SLQ ) point of view why use so many differents date storage for manage date ? I think there is a logic behind this that i don't understand until now . Does datetime is a nightmare to manage in php ? Does use unix storage is still more efficient ( speed) that use date time type object ? We use a "text" format for the custom fields as you want the data to be readable even if you change the type of the custom field or when you export the data, and there is still no problem with timezones, and on top of that, you can have dates older than 1970 which is handy for birthday custom fields which wouldn't be possible with a timestamp... There are different formats for everything because they solve different things. For example for the images: JPG is compressed (small file size) so it's great for photos with a lot of pixels PNG is not compressed (bigger file size) so it's great for icons, small images where you don't want to loose any detail. It also supports transparency GIF is great for small images, animations because it is limited in the number of colors, but can support several frames played one after another. Each format was made for a different purposes.
