Two Hikashop filter module in a page

Hi,
is there any possibility that using two hikashop filter module in a page with these settings

Filter button position: Right
Show filter button: No

We tried and it turns out only the first filter works but the second does nothing and getting this url.

Are we needed to avoid by putting two filters within a page?

Hi,

You can have two filters, but they need to be displayed by the same module, otherwise, the filters will be independent from one another and when you use one, the other won't be taken into account.

we are also trying to use two filter modules, we have a search filter at the top of every page (which always redirects to a different URL) and would like to have another filter module on specific product listing pages (which shouldn't redirect). So in this case they can be independent of each other, but we have a problem with the redirect URLs.

The redirect URL in the second filter form always appears to be the same as the search filter, no matter what Menu ID we set in the second filter module or if we switch force redirect on or off.

So for example, if we set our search filter module redirect menu ID to 123, the action parameter in the second filter module html form is always the URL of menu 123. Even if we set the second filter module redirect menu ID to for example 456, this 456 is ignored and it's always 123.

Would there be any solution to this?

Hi,

I don't see why it would do that. The module uses its own instance options that are given to it by Joomla when the template position the instance is assigned to is being displayed.
Wouldn't the problem be that you use the same instance for the two positions ?

thanks as always for the fast response, we finally figured it out, it was something else entirely.
We did not use the same instance, but had a Javascript override to change the search form action url to get rid of the 'product/listing' at the end, and the Javascript was modifying both filter forms, our apologies :oops:

Now both filter modules work perfectly! Thanks for the help.
