Hi,

It looks like an error resulting from a restriction on the number of parameters sent to the web server when the configuration page is saved.
You must have suhosin or some kind of other php module which generates that problem:

Hi

We've just started getting this error yesterday at www.acrespetproducts.com/administrator

Been working fine for years and then bam yesterday 403 error. We can't now access the site admin section of the site so can't process orders etc.

The host hasn't changed anything as far as they and we can tell

Any suggestions other than the url pointing to the PHP.ini file? Not sure how we edit that given it's on shared hosting... The post_max_size setting in PHP Selector under Cpanel is set to the max of 512M. We can go lower just not higher.

Thanks!

Hi,

Note that the other user on this thread was getting that error when saving the HikaShop configuration and only for that page.
That happens sometimes because of hosting security systems but other pages of the backend still work just fine in that case.

However, if you can't access any page of your website backend, then you don't have that problem. In that case, it's probable that a security system flagged your IP address as potentially harmful and banned it. So whatever you do, you can't access anything in the backend from then on.
In that case, there are several things to do:
- turn off that security system if you know what is causing this.
- try accessing your website backend from another IP address (another internet connection). That should normally allow you to access the backend and if it comes from a security extension, you can disable it temporarily to check with the other connection if it really comes from that or not.
- once you identify which extension of your website / software on your server is doing that, check if they have some kind of whitelist to enter your IP addresses so that you don't get banned in the future.

Hi Nicolas

Thanks for the reply.

Have spent some time analysing and have found that the site crashes when you go into an order in the backend and try to add a product to an order it 403's. This means we can't process orders manually for customers.

So then after that the site gives the appearance of being down completely but once all cookies and cache are cleared for the site we can then get back in and access everything again until we try and add a product to an order at which point the site goes down with a 403.

Have tried it across multiple browsers - opera, edge, chrome, brave in both browser and incognito mode with the product add/order 403 error replicable across all of them so seems to be a error in the function of adding a product to an order in the backend.

Any ideas?

Thanks :)

Hello,

Please open a new thread in the forum so the team will have a fresh start (for your problem which is really different than the one here) and also some details regarding your HikaShop version number, etc.
