Show Characteristics In Checkout

Hi there, in HikaShop Essential, can we allow customers to choose a product characteristic in checkout?

It's possible since HikaShop 4.3.0, but with 2 conditions :
1. In the Checkout Workflow, have the read only option to "no"
2. In your Item Custom field and Display: Cart part, have the Cart product edition option to "yes"

Hi there can you please specify where I can find these settings "item custom fields (business edition only)" does not appear to be available in the essential edition as mentioned is what we have in the first post.

Characteristics are only selectable on the product details page of the product. However, Once you add a product with characteristics to the cart, if you have the latest version of HikaShop, you'll have an edit icon next to the product name on the cart view of the checkout so that you can change the selected variant to select another one directly from the checkout.

We do not use a product detail page, only an add to cart button. We want customers to have a boolean selector in the cart to change the default product type in their cart.

It's not possible to have an add to cart button on the listing page for products with characteristics and then let the customer choose the characteristics on the cart after adding the product to it.
Doing that would require extensive development.
