Hi,

Some of the vendors that will be on my site might only sell in one or two cities. Is there any way to limit the zones they offer their products to by city?

Thanks!

Hi,

With HikaMarket you can configure it to allow vendors to configure their shipping methods.
And with this plugin www.hikashop.com/marketplace/product/250...shipping-plugin.html you can have shipping methods with a radius so that you only allow purchases using that shipping method within that area. So you could allow your vendors to set that up their shipping methods using that shipping plugin and thus restricting it to an area around a city.

Thanks, but I don't want to use Google API if I can.

How does the postal code restriction work in Canada? We have oddly formatted postal codes, that are formatted as 1X1 Y1Z. So it's number, letter, number, space, letter, number, letter.

Not easy to set up a range. Would they have to enter EVERY postal code they deliver to?

Hi,

They'll probably have to enter every postal code yes.
Note that you have this plugin, which might help simplifying the process:
www.brainforge.co.uk/shop/downloads/product/5-manual
With it, you can have only one shipping method of that shipping plugin and have a different list of post codes for each vendor configuring that shipping method.

The geocoding plugin allows for an easier setup since you just have to enter an address and a min/max radius to configure the area available for the shipping. But yes, it requires using the Google API. Note that using the Google API for this should be free unless you have thousands of customers every month.
