Also, once it is working correctly will taxcloud only apply taxes for California if our business is located in california?")* Hi, If you don't get any taxes applied on the checkout, it means that either your customer address shouldn't be taxed (for example if your customer address is outside the USA), or you're missing something in the setup of the plugin. Please follow the procedure here in order to setup the TaxCloud plugin and your TaxCloud account : [ www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...on/260-taxcloud.html](http://www.hikashop.com/support/support/documentation/260-taxcloud.html) TaxCloud will apply the taxes based on the laws of the USA and each state. If tax shouldn't be applied if the customer address is outside your state and your business address is inside your state, then it will do so, otherwise, it will apply the corresponding tax automatically. The only difference is I have no USPS id code. I entered the address, TIC and taxcloud api's etc. 1 thing I noticed is after saving all this information, taxcloud still does not appear in the hikashop->plugins section. I can only reach via the joomla plugin manager. Still it does not display tax information. I think the problem may be that I need a USPS id, I will have the client sign up for one and test with it, to see if that works. Edit: I added the USPS id code and still I do not get any tax calculations. The taxcloud account says "need authorized" I am not sure how to change this so I will call them on monday. If it says that it need authorization, you should contact TaxCloud. Maybe they need to activate something for your account, and you'll be able to check your settings with them. Looking at your account from the TaxCloud side we do see a large number of errors from June 1st (but not since). From those errors it appears HikaShop was attempting a TaxCloud Lookup() API call with a non-US address. Are you getting the "needs authorized" error when trying to do a capture? If so, thats because the Authorized() API has not been called for that transaction. The order of TaxCloud API calls is: 1. Lookup - get the tax amounts due for each item inthe cart 2. Authorized - issued after your CC payment Authorize call, but before CC Payment Capture call. 3. Captured - issued after your CC payment Capture call, usually immediately after shipment of the order. Optionally, API Authorized and Captured can be issued in a single step using our AuthorizedWithCapture (if you do CC payment Auth with Capture in one step) --- TaxCloud is the internet's only free sales tax service. Our integration with TaxCloud doesn't have any "Capture" call to TaxCloud. We only do "AuthorizeWithCapture" calls. So it must be something else. I did find the problem, it was that the "Payment of orders not paid immediately" which has to be set to "yes" in Hikashop configuration in order for the taxcloud API to register the authorization.
