Hello
Since raw material prices are currently more expensive in many places, we have to temporarily charge an 8% raw material surcharge. We would like to leave the prices as they are, but add this surcharge to the shopping cart, e.g. under the shipping costs.
What's the easiest way to do this? Overrides are not a problem, but the invoice amount must then also be adjusted correctly and not only be shown optically on the shopping cart
Kind regards, Maya

Hi,
You could create an 8% tax rate via the "manage tax rates" button of the System>Taxes menu that you could name "raw material surcharge" so that the customer would understand what it means.
Then, you could create a tax rule for that tax rate via the "new" button of the System>Taxes menu.
That way, it would apply to all the products and display between the subtotal and the total in the cart.
If you already hae tax rules, you'll want to activate the "cumulative tax" setting of your tax rules so that both the normal tax rules and that extra tax rule can apply at the same time to the cart.
