So thank you for you help in advanced! The question I have is in regards to displaying product characteristics on a product page. Here's the scenario: If I have a characteristic applied to a product, but it only has one associated value under that particular characteristic, it still displays that characteristic on the front-end as a drop-down (even though there is only one value). As shown in the attached image 'Current-Characteristic-Display.jpg'. This might lead visitors to believe that other options are available and, when the click on the drop-down to find that there is only one value, they may be dismayed. Further more, the product information housed in the characteristics section is good information that should always be displayed on the front-end of the product page. Is there any way possible to have Hikashop detect instances where only 1 value is present under a characteristic and, instead of generating a drop-down like other characteristics, it displays that value as plain text? Such as shown in the attached image titled, 'preferred-characteristic display'. We also have instances where we display 3 or 4 characteristics under a product page. Two of which are single drop-downs while the other two have multiple options available. We still want to display the single drop-downs though as they display important information that we would rather not display else where on the page. Any suggestions you may have to offer are very much appreciated! I look forward to receiving your feedback. Many Thanks, Mike") Category: [Product & Category Display](/forum/26-product-category-display "Questions about product and category display. In working on our new website, we would like to consolidate our product offering as much as possible. However, an issue that we are finding with this approach is that we are coming across instances where it would be great if the characteristics were dependent on one another. For example, let's say we have a product who has the characteristics 'Style' (of which there is a Style A and B) and 'Configuration' (of which there is a Configuration 1, 2, 3, and 4) applied to it. We would like to see Hikashop function so that when you select 'Style A' you will be able to select Configurations 1 or 2, and if you select 'Style B' you will be able to select Configurations 2 or 3 or 4. Are dependent picklists possible? If not, is there a way to use characteristics or options in a similar manner that might allow for us to better consolidate our products? Your insight is truly appreciated! I look forward to your response. Many Thanks, Mike") Category: [Install & Update](/forum/25-install-update "Having an installation or update issue? The Hikashop and Hikamarket tools are amazing. That being said, I am unfortunately running into a problem where I am unable to successfully save images that I add to product variants using Hikamarket front-end. I navigate to a product page and hit the Hikamarket edit button on that product page. I click on the 'Variants' tab and select one of the several variants offered on the page by clicking on the edit icon next to that variant. When I scroll down on the page and attempt to add images, the image thumbnails appear, but when I click the green rectangular save icon above the variant edit section on this page, the image and whatever text was in the description WYSIWYG editor disappears. I've tried turning on and off several configurations and that I thought might be conflicting this functionality, but nothing seems to work. The image upload and edit functionality works perfectly on the 'Product' tab. It is only when attempting to edit any variants using Hikamarket front-end that we run into a problem. It should also be mentioned that while the images and description do not save, we have several custom text fields and when you enter text in those fields and click that same green, rectangular save button on the variant, that data is saved. Any assistance you can offer is gravely appreciated!")
