I know there can be multiple tax rates and each rate can be applied to a specific product, but is the following possible… If I provide service in three different counties and each county has a different tax rates, is it possible to have one single product for all three counties and then add the appropriate tax rate to that same product simply based on the user's locale? I'm thinking the only way to do this would be to create three different products and apply the specific tax rate to each and I don't like having to go that route. Please advise. Thanks. If you do set-up a discount on the product price, that price will be stored in the order and that specific price will be used by the recurring plugin. When there are multiple products in the order and some do not have the recurring, HikaSubscription will process the price for the recurring part. But, in the other hand, when there is just recurring products in the order, HikaSubscription can simply take the final price of the order as the recurring price. Thus, in your specific case, if you just have one product and a coupon, the HikaSubscription behavior would be to use the order total price as recurring price. It would require some modification in the core (and a new setting) to force the processing of the orders even if there is just one product (or to do it when there is a coupon). It would also require a new setting for the coupons to be able to know if they should be handle by the recurring. Because maybe you do have a coupon which would be apply for all your subscription... The full implementation would require some time and that's not something we can provide as small patch in the forum. | [](/forum/14-hikaserial/898518-admin-creates-recurring-order-vs-user-creating-recurring-order#312191) | [Admin creates recurring order vs. User creating recurring order](/forum/14-hikaserial/898518-admin-creates-recurring-order-vs-user-creating-recurring-order#312191 "I'm trying to set up an order for a user so that they can simply login to their account and pay the invoice. I've created a recurring product and a recurring PayPal method. I create the order as the user from the front-end and go as far as PayPal without actually paying. When I return to my website and login again as the user, I can see the order in my account with a status of CREATED. If I now use the ACTIONS > PAY NOW I can see the PayPal payment option. When I hit NEXT, I'm greeted with a PayPal message that says "Things don't appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later. Return to Merchant." If the Admin creates the order using the same exact product on the back-end, the user can later login on the front end and see this order. Important to note is that even though it's the same exact product, when the Admin views the list of orders, the order the Admin created is blank under Payment Method. This is different than if the Admin views an unpaid order that a user created in which case it indicates the payment method as PayPal. If the user logs in after the Admin creates the order on the back end, the user can see the order as Created. If the user selects Actions > Pay Now, there is no payment method available. So the result is that if the order is created in advance either by the Admin or the User, it can't be paid. If the user creates the same order and immediately proceeds to checkout, all works fine. Is this because an order that has a recurring payment cannot be saved for later on?") Thus, in your specific case, if you just have one product and a coupon, the HikaSubscription behavior would be to use the order total price as recurring price. But it might be possible to modify the core to deactivate the optimization and force the processing of the order's products to generate the recurring sum. It would require some investigation and multiple tests in our side but it would be the fasted way. First, I have a monthly product that uses Hika Serial for renewals. I want to create a coupon code that will only be good for the initial sign-up and will give the customer the service free for the first twelve months. After that, the product will renew automatically and bill monthly. The only part of this I don't know how to do is the code needed to give the customer the first 12 months for free. Second, I want to use HikaMarket to send 80% of the payment to the site owner and 20% of the payment to a second party both using PayPal. Please advise as I will need to purchase HikaMarket if this cannot be done w/o that product. Thank you.
