So my site is set up at elitehairboutiquenet.ipage.com (development site) and I have been trying to get the taxes to work properly for hours now. After looking at 2 other threads here to do with setting up taxes, It seemed like I finally got it. Taxes were being calculated, showing up in cart and everything. All I had to figure out was getting the cumulative tax working and ensuring it was calculating properly (Its taxes for Canada). When I turned on cumulative tax and went back on the site and refreshed, the taxes were gone in the cart. They would still be calculated on the product page, if you set the option to include tax in the price. But on the checkout cart page, the prices would go back to the original product prices and no tax would show up. I've been trying all sorts of stuff for hours and nothing works. As my link says, you need to get the SQL query from the install.hikashop.php file where you'll get the type, collation etc. I'm not sure which column is the problem in your case: For the taxation_post_code column it should be a varchar of 255 characters. For the taxation_date_start and taxation_date_end columns it should be an int of 10 characters unsigned.
