Check/Cash option does create the order. I created a login - username is test and password is Passw0rd. Debug mode is on for the site, and error reporting is set to maximum. I created an additional payment method for Authorize.net - the first one doesn't have Debug mode turned on, and the second one does so payments won't be processed (it doesn't process them regardless, but the label indicates which one is debug). Neither option will create an order when you click finish or try to process the payment. The cash/check option does create an order in the order table, so it seems to be limited to the Authorize payment option. I did change the default URL for authorize.net to cardpresent.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll from the default of secure.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll because that's what Authorize.net's documentation said to use for AIM. I've switched them to test it, but neither address works. If I change to SIM or DPM, I do get a message back from Authorize.net saying that the payment type isn't supported, so the URL seems to work in those cases, but we have to use AIM for our account for some reason.
