I didnt see this explained in the documentation or on another forum post so apologies if this is previously answered. Is this the system, a bug, or a settings problem on my end that if I have: - HikaShop config set to: dropdown - Characteristics allow their own selection method to be some of the same options (inherit, dropdown, radio) [as seen in attachments Method 1] - HikaShop config set to: any other option - Characteristics dont allow their own selection method [as seen in attachments method 2] it was just confusing that depending on the overall hikashop method you can set the method per characteristic on an individual basis to another option, but with other overall hikashop methods you then can't change the method for characteristics on an individual basis.") The "list" and "table" mode display the whole characteristic area differently on the product page, regardless of the number of characteristics added to the product. So if you have "list" selected, it display the variants as a list. So i have 3 characteristics Size, Set, Colour I can get the product to have all options Size: large, medium, small Set: 1,2,3 Colour: A,B,C What i cant get to work is that if you say select Size: Large you can only by Set: 1,2 Colour: A,B or if you select Size: Medium you can only get Set:2,3 Colour: B,C i can get it so that there are no quantities for them but i want it so that the user only has certain variants displayed from Set and Colour Characteristic based on their current variant choice in characteristic Size") Category: [Install & Update](/forum/25-install-update "Having an installation or update issue? Please check the characteristics and variants of that product' The issue im having is that i know how that message works generally but as far as i understand it shouldnt be there. i included pictures to show what im talking about. The product backend shows both variants are there and under the correct characteristic type with 1 set as a default. In the characteristic Type both of the variants are there as well. On the front end the product is showing both variants and the 2nd variant that is set to the default is in there as a default. This is why i have no idea why that message is appearing. As you can see there are no values found for that characteristic. A variant is a combination of values of characteristics. If you sell a shirt with two characteristics, color and size, a variant of the shirt might be blue XL, or red M. This is occuring for all products with variants. only 50% of them import.")
