However, if a customer chooses one Product #1 and one Product #2, for example, and each has its own shipping price, the checkout page is not displaying either of them. I'm not sure if I need to make new rules for all imaginable combinations of buying various quantities of the two products. That would seem to be many, many rules. Example: Product #1: buy 1 for 8.00. Shipping is $5.00. Product #2: buy 1 for 4.95. Shipping is $3.50. Total should be 8.00 but no shipping costs at all are showing. If the customer clicks the Next button to confirm the order it only reloads the checkout page. also, if a customer chooses one product, then clicks Continue Shopping, the cart is cleared. I must have an incorrect setting for that? Thanks for your help.") The system adds up the weight and dimensions of each product in the cart automatically and calculates a total weight and a total volume for everything in the cart. Then, the system look at your shipping methods and remove all the shipping methods which have restrictions which don't allow it to be used with the total weight/total volume of the cart. It also remove the methods which are for zones which are not for your shipping address. And finally it asks the user to seelct between all the remaining shipping methods. So if you have a product weighting 1oz and that it costs $5 to ship 1oz to florida but $7.5 to ship 2oz then you need two shipping methods: one with a min weight of 0 and a max weight of 1.5 oz and a price of $5 and a zone set to florida one with a min weight of 1.5oz and a price of $7.5 and a zone set to florida ...etc... If you have several states with the same shipping pricing you can create a common shipping zone via System>Zones and assign all these states as sub zones. That way, you only need to create one set of shipping methods with that shipping zone selected instead of creating one set of shipping methods for each state. That will drastically reduce the number of manual shipping methods to create. But if you have a complex shipping pricing, it will indeed be a lot easier to setup the USPS plugin which will ask for pricing directly to your shipping company servers. If you have an authentication error, it's either that you're not entering the correct credentials in the plugin options or that your account is not activated. I would thus recommend that you contact USPS support so that they can confirm with you your credentials and that your account is properly activated.") 13 years 3 months ago by [nicolas](/forum/user/63-nicolas "View nicolas's Profile") - [1](/forum/4-how-to/82938-two-different-shipping-methods?start=0 "Page:1") - [2](/forum/4-how-to/82938-two-different-shipping-methods?start=20 "Page:2") | Replies:25 Views:2213 | [Last Post](/forum/4-how-to/82938-two-different-shipping-methods?start=20#113606 "Hi, thanks for helping shinehaid on that ! @shinehaid Here is how it works: You set the weight and dimensions for each product. The system adds up the weight and dimensions of each product in the cart automatically and calculates a total weight and a total volume for everything in the cart.
