This might be an odd thought, but here's what I'm looking for; I want to allow user A to be able to log in and see Category A. User B, category B - and so on. Example: I (site admin) register an existing customer from my flower shop, let's call him John Doe, and then I create a specific category for him called "John's Stuff" and fill it with stuff that only John should be able to order from my webshop. I send the username and password to John and tell him that his unique little webshop is open for business. Then I create another HikaShop user, Jane Doe, for another existing customer from my brick & mortar shop and create the category "Jane's stuff" for her. Now - when John logs on - he can browse through "his items" in my webshop without being able to see Jane's stuff, and the other way around. The question is, is it possible to associate a unique category with a specific user? If this can't be done by normal tweaking of the code somehow, how much would it cost me if I ask one of you guys to modify the code for me? I'm not a programmer, by far, but I do know what I need to keep my customers happy ;) Don't get me wrong, HikaShop is fantastic, but the idea above would allow me to reach out to a new group of clients with unique needs.") | [](/forum/4-how-to/3055-user-registration-before-adding-items#3067) | [User registration before adding items](/forum/4-how-to/3055-user-registration-before-adding-items#3067 "Hi, and congrats to a well written shop! I still have a lot to learn about the hikashop features, but there is one thing that I can't figure out. Or maybe it's not an option? If it isn't, it sure would be a nifty feature to add! I would like to see a module, or possibly a menu item choice that can allow new customers to access the registration form without first having to place items in the shopping cart. If this is possible, please let me know how. The standard Joomla registration form feels way to incomplete since you can't add address, phone etc. there. I want my customers to be able to sign up once and then be done, but I don't want to scare them away by asking them to first add items before signing up. On another note - I made a bunch of changes to the file components/com_hikashop/css/frontend_default.css to make the content look good on my site. That was easy but took a good bit of time. Of course, one day later, I upgraded to the latest version of hikashop and all of my changes were lost/overwritten. Any way to keep custom settings/modifications while upgrading? Just asking!") Category: [How to?](/forum/4-how-to "If you didn't find the answer on our documentation neither on existing posts, please ask your question here.")
