Try to disable it to see if the templates get back on the good views. To upgrade, you just have to install the business package with the joomla extension installer, it will be installed over the old HikaShop, and you would not loose your changes. I know that some HikaShop styles have cart images too : www.hikashop.com/en/hikashop/styles-for-hikashop.html After that you can test some payment plugins in debug mode, with test accounts or in sandbox. You can use "collect on delivery" or "check" payment plugin and validate manually your order in the backend.
