Requirement: Shop for multiple vendors, each vendor will require their own checkout/payment  Customers should not be limited to only putting items from a single vendor in their cart, ie if they try to purchase a second item from a new vendor, it should either be added to the cart or a new cart associated with that customer created.  A live example of what is required can be seen at   global.rakuten.com/en/  this opens a new cart with its own associated checkout for each vendor as items are selected.  Alternatively, is it possible to add multiple vendors to a single cart and then force multiple passes through the checkout to deal with each vendor in turn?  Am able to write the necessary plugins to achieve this, but before starting need to understand which is the best approach.")
