I have spent a requisite half-hour searching through this forum but could not find the answer. We have many products on our site - example: emotorwerks.com/products/online-store/pr...-ev-charging-station . We need to add another product ( emotorwerks.com/products/online-store/pr...s/related_product-44 ) as option. However, when I do that, my main product page does not allow me to order a product without an option - i.e. without cables. I thought that's the whole point of options - people can decide to order another product as an option in addition to main product or they can decide to add none of the options. The current config seems to be forcing people to add one of the variants of the 'optional' product which is not the intent at all... I know that the way to hack it would be to create a variant 'none' in the optional product and default to that but then that product page would open on 'none' itself - bad user experience. Stuck. They are shown on the edit-page of the Emails (see dump-1.jpg) when the button "List of available tags" is clicked. Now when I click the button I see a long list of variables that can be inserted into the email but can you please explain HOW this can be done? When I complete the instructions as posted with the tags list: I get no values printed in the mail when the mail is sent to the customer and the admin. Since this answer is more than 5 years old en probably used for an earlier version of hikashop I'm still struggeling to find the answer for my problem. If have set the sort order in system > configuration > Disply > Default Parameters for Products > ordering field to product_sort_price Furthermore I set the Main Menu > Menu > Products Options > Data display > to inherit (product_sort_price) With these settings I still get the products view sort by backend order. So there is no option on the interface for that. However, there is a hidden option to change the default depth of the explorer.
