I'm having a problem with product options causing the checkout cart to be cluttered and messy looking. Perhaps I'm going about it wrong but let me explain how I've done it. I had to purchase Hikashop Essentials to make this work. For example my products have options like this. Here's an example of one of the drop downs "add 2nd pulley". Notice one option has no charges and others have charges. In order to make that possible I had to go to: Product --> Characteristics Then add all the options there like this: Then I had to actually go create a new product called "2nd pulley" and add the characteristics to it and then create variants of that product. Then add variants to this new product with the previously added characteristics and put prices on the options that cost more. That seems to have achieved the goal and given my original product options the user can select and charge accordingly for the various options. The problem is now when you go to the checkout cart it's a huge mess showing all these options or rather additional products I had to add to make this work. Example of this product in the cart Now this product only had 6 options and look how messy and cluttered that shopping cart is already. Some products have over 15+ options. The other issue is if you delete the item from your cart each of those "options" stay in the cart causing the user to have to go and delete each one individually. Is there a better way to do this or perhaps a way to make the shopping cart display things better? | [](/forum/28-shipping-methods/893129-shipping-from-different-locations-drop-shipping#284200) | [Shipping from different locations (drop shipping)](/forum/28-shipping-methods/893129-shipping-from-different-locations-drop-shipping#284200 "-- HikaShop version -- : 3.2.1 -- Joomla version -- : 3.4.8 -- PHP version -- : 5.6.30-pl0-gentoo -- Browser(s) name and version -- : chrome 61.0.3163.100 My business does a huge amount of drop shipping directly from manufactures. This means the source address of the various products is not the same. When I use the USPS module, for example, it assumes the same source zip code for all items shipping and it assumes it's at my location. This gives me incorrect shipping calculations. Is there a way to fix this? A simplified example to try and demonstrate further. My Shop = Kansas City MO Product 1, Apples, located in = Los Angeles CA Product 2, Oranges, located in = Tampa FL Customer 1 = Omaha NE Now Customer 1 browses my site and adds Apples and Oranges to his cart. The USPS module calculates shipping those Apples and Oranges from Kansas City MO --> Omaha NE. Where as it should have done two calculates like this: Apples - Los Angeles CA --> Omaha NE Oranges - Tampa FL --> Omaha NE Does that make sense? I'm wondering how this gets done? How do others that drop ship deal with calculating shipping? I tried looking at putting products into Warehouses and hoping Warehouses would have unique addresses but that doesn't exist. So then I tried looking at Zones but found no way to integrate them. What am I missing? Thanks so much for any guidance or help Malcolm") Category: [Shipping Methods](/forum/28-shipping-methods "Discussions about the different shipping methods for Hikashop") Topic started 8 years 10 months ago, by [malcolmv8](/forum/user/48244-malcolmv8 "View malcolmv8's Profile") [Last Post](/forum/28-shipping-methods/893129-shipping-from-different-locations-drop-shipping#284416 "My website is fixed now so that won't do any good for your testing.
