There is no implemented feature for that but you can use a custom plugin in order to write your own rules. Using the trigger "onAfterUserCreate" and some code of the plugin "HikaShop group after purchase" you can catch the user creation, read the custom field and assign a special user group to the just created user. I don't see how we can propose an interface for the configuration of such specific feature to make it as generic as possible ; that's why for the moment the best solution is to have a little plugin for your rules.
