I am using MS Access + connected via SSH to MySQL remote database. I use Hikashop for a school selling various dance class and clothing, so there's a lot of custom field and product variant, so far it's working quite nicely. At the moment I got all the different table linked up together giving me all the information I need in a nice view with the ability to export to MS Excel, and also edit the information. I am saying that in order to apply a coupon on several products, the best is to put these products in a same category and apply the coupon on this category. I am saying that a category which is not published, won't be displayed in the front-end. I am saying that a unpublished category is useful if you want to apply a discount on several products in the same time. It is not possible to create several coupons with the same code. And because you can't select several categories but just one. The "trick" is to have one special category which will regroup all targeted products. Because a product can have several categories, there is no specific problem. You just have to add the special "discount coupon category" to the products. Is it more clear ?
