What I would like is: Normal Bid: The user can manually enter any amount they wish to bid. Max Bid: Continue working as the current maximum/proxy bidding functionality. The manually entered normal bid should still be subject to the auction's minimum bid and any other applicable validation rules. The system should accept amounts higher than the current required minimum, without forcing the user to use only the next predefined increment. I understand that the max bid feature serves a similar purpose. However, all auction platforms still offer standard, manual bidding as a free option. This is likely because not all users are familiar with or fully understand how the max bid system works. After submission, the current highest bid updates to € 81.015 (second-highest bid plus the bid increment), and the green status message at the bottom displays: "You are leading the auction for € 81.015" The Issue: Because the main price and the green status box only show € 81.015 while the live bid button jumps to € 100.015, bidders get confused and cannot clearly see that their € 100.000 maximum bid is registered and active. Desired Result: When the leading bidder has an active max bid, we want to display an additional label above the biidding buttons with something similar to: "Your max bid is € 100.000 (If you win this auction, you only pay the second-highest bid plus the bid increment (€ 81.015), not your maximum bid)" The button displaying "Place live bid for 1000.015" is confusing users and causing them to think their bids have not been submitted.
