[Skip to main content](#vessel-content) # Calendar display module This module shows a **month or week calendar of your shows and events**: the shows are named in their day, coloured by what can still be booked (available, few seats left, sold out, cancelled), or each day takes the colour of all its shows, with the time, the price and the seats left of each show one click away. It reads the dates of the events you set up with the HikaShop Booking plugin, so a concert hall, a theatre, a festival or a course centre can show its whole programme at a glance. On a phone, where a month is too small to read, it becomes a list of the shows by day. Features - A month or a week calendar, as you choose. - The shows named in their day, one per line with their time, shortened with "..." when too long (the full name and state show on hover), coloured by availability; or only the number of each day coloured by the state of all its shows. A legend under the calendar tells what the colours mean. - A list of the shows of a day (time, title linked to the show page, note of the date, price from, state with the seats left) when you click on a day, or on the "+2" of a day with more shows than the calendar names. - Previous and next month or week in one click, without leaving the page (and as plain links when JavaScript is off). - A list of the shows by day instead of the grid on phones, or always, as you choose. - Opens on the current month or week, or on the one of the next show. - Limits the shows to some categories of your shop, and can hide the days gone by. - Several dates and several times a day for one show, each with its own seats left. - Accessible: a real table with a caption, a button for each day with a name such as "Sunday 7 November, 2 shows", keyboard use, and the state of a show written in words, not in colour alone. - Plain, neutral styling that follows your template's colours; the template can restyle it through its classes. - Works on Joomla and WordPress (as a block). In the HikaShop Booking plugin, a product is made an event: "Event with dates" on, and one line for each performance (date, time, number of seats). - 2. The module reads those lines for the month it shows, with the seats left of each date. - 3. A visitor picks a day, then a show, and goes to its page to book. Installation - 1) Download the module on our website via the download link provided to you after the purchase. - 2) Install it on your Joomla website via the extension manager, or via the "install plugin" button of System > Plugins on WordPress. - 3) Make sure the HikaShop Booking plugin (version 1.3.0 or later) is installed and enabled, and that your shows are events with their dates. - 4) On Joomla, go to Extensions > Modules, create a "HikaShop Calendar" module, choose its position and the pages where it shows. On WordPress, add the "HikaShop Calendar" block to a page. Configuration - **Categories**: the ids of the HikaShop categories whose events are shown, separated by commas. Empty shows every event. - **Calendar**: a month or a week. - **In each day**: the names of the shows, or only a colour. **Shows per day**: how many a day names before it shows "+N". - **View**: automatic (the calendar on a wide screen, the list on a phone), always the calendar, or always the list. - **First day of the week**: Monday or Sunday. - **Month or week shown first**: the current one, or the one of the next show. - **Show the price from** and **Show the seats left**: what a show line tells besides its time and title. - **Hide the days gone by**: leaves out the shows already played. - **Layout** and **Module Class Suffix**: an alternative layout of your template, and CSS classes for styling. Troubleshooting - **"The calendar needs the HikaShop Booking plugin"**: install and enable the Booking plugin. - **"No show this month"**: the products must be published, set as an event in their Booking block, in the categories of the module if you listed some, and have performances in that month. - **A date does not appear**: its performance must have a valid date, and the product must be visible to the visitor's access level.
