Only display categories with products

In settings for Default parameters for categories I have yes in parameter for only showing categories with products, but it doesn't seem to work properly.
Where do I go to fix this issue, so that my clients don't have to search blindly?

Hi,

This is the default settings. Then, in each menu item and module displaying a category listing, you'll find the same setting under the "categories options" (or "hikashop options" for the module) and it will only take into account the setting of the configuration if it's set to "inherit". So you need to check your menu items/modules via the Joomla menus/modules manager.
