Hi,

I'm actualy looking at Hikashop (Business edition) to replace my old Virtuemart and I seen there is things I would need, not immediatly but in few months, and I would need to know if those things are on the todolist or not :

- So Colissimo shiping module
- Responsive design features (I rod that it's on the roadmap ... miam !)
- In a category view, there is no add-to-cart button in hikashop_product element, and I did not find where to activate it in the back-end configuration, is there any option to display an add-to-cart button for products snapshots in category views ?
- On the demo site I seen the product images have no size in the generated code, I'm not a SEO/SEF specialist but I do think it's much better to have images sizes in the generated code.
- Large products images for high density screens, I mean the ability to choose between two resolutions for the same product image when a high density screen (like Retina) is displayin the website.

For the last one, I know that few JQuery lines of code and a css trick are enough to do the job.

I'm sure I will have more questions after testing an import of one of my VM sites ;)

Best regards.

Hi,

1. Yes, I think that So colissimo is in the todolist
3. Yes, You'll just have to use the "Display 'Add to cart' button" option through your listing configuration ("Hikashop->Display->Content menus").

Hope this will help you.

Hi,

2. Responsive will be available in next version on Joomla 3.0
4. I don't think that it changes anything for SEO but it's better to not have the size for responsive.
5. There is no plan in the short term but looking at your link it sounds more like something to add to templates so that all the images of the website get the resolution improvement on retina screens. In any case, you could already upload both image for products and add the CSS/JS to your template in order to do that without changing one line in HikaShop.

Thanks for the answers Nicolas !

Agree with you on images for high density screens, just wondering.
Ok I did not think about the impact of images sizes on reponsive design...will dig that.

I'm testing Hikashop now, I imported my VM1 database without problems, like in dream if I compare with a VM1 to VM2 migration !
I will have more questions soon ;)
