options for one product

I have a sample product for $5 with a flat rate of postage and 5 options but each option is plus $5. I would like to have one product pic but be able to to choose one or more of the options and it add on to the base price if possible OR at least be able to choose the payment option if I setup the 5 prices or similar. I tried characteristics but if I setup seperately they are all chosen and if I setup one varient with the choices you can only select one.

I think that creating one product for your five products would maybe be better for you, then your customers will be able to buy them separatly OR in group .
