Url display

Hi,

Currently, the url's are displayed as follows.

/index.php/component/hikashop/checkout

/index.php/component/hikashop/product/cid-1

Want to show the url as

/index.php/component/ourshop/checkout

/index.php/component/ourshop/product/cid-1


Basically replacing hikashop with ourshop.

Please guide how can this be done.

Hi,

You shouldn't have this kind of link, by default you don't have "component" and "hiakshop", to replace HikaShop by "YourShop" I think that you have to change the menu name.
It's maybe the same thing for "component"

Not sure whats happening here. First installed the free version and then upgraded to Essential. In both the versions, it was showing the same.

Please what should I be looking for.

Hi,

"/component/hikashop/" is generated by the Joomla SEF.
It means that, when SEF is activated, you can call all pages using a more human readable method.
So "index.php?option=com_hikashop&ctrl=product&task=show&cid=1" become "index.php/component/hikashop/product/cid-1".

Now, you can create joomla menu.
Using menus, you can set special url using the alias.
So, instead of opening the classical path, it would use the menu.

You can't rename "/component/hikashop" to "/component/ourshop" without modifying the HikaShop component name (so, changing all base folders, xml, and a lot of files).
