OK. So, I was busy working away on my site, when suddenly my site stopped working.
The entire frontend of the site was screwed, and only the Random products module would load.
LITERALLY, when I checked the code, Joomla was outputting:

<head>
<hikashop content>....
</hikashop content>
<ERROR MESSAGE REGARDING DATABASE LINE 213 something about a QUANITITY in cart being invalid>
</head>

without a single shred of my template (or any template or styling for that matter)

Had me going crazy. I thought my database was wrecked or something. Especially after I checked Joomla's error messages and it was reporting that my database was NULL?!?! So, I clicked "FIX", I purged my cache, I did a lot of stuff.

Finally, I saw that "updates are available" and it turns out it was today's UPDATE NOTIFICATION that wreaked all this HAVOC!

So, I updated and bam, bing, badda boom. It's working again. Thank God - I thought I was going to have to rebuild my entire site.

Was crazy.

I'm running Joomla 2.5.7 w/ PHP 5 and MySQL.

Wow, it's quite weird and strange.

Hmm...
I am having a problem though now.

Although my DISPLAY is set to not show Votes, only IMAGE & TITLE as it was set before the update, it now shows votes and won't allow me to disable them.

I only want votes to show on the product page itself, not the category pages.

and thanks...running some updates...apparently, JCE and Joomla itself came out with updates now, too...so upgrading to 2.8, and I'll see how that goes. Could have been a conflict with Joomla's automatic update system? I dunno....

Hi,

I just checked your website and I can see that you don't have the votes anymore on the products listing page and only on the product page, like you wanted. So I consider that case closed.

Those are the modules. I am not having a problem with the modules. I am having a problem with my Hikashop content plugin.

Go to STORE link, and click on any of the product categories, and you will see that the STAR RATING system is still activated.

If you need a direct link to a product listing: here it is:

I have tried changing this from both the HIKASHOP OPTIONS in my links (the nav at the top), and in the "CONFIGURATION > DISPLAY"

Neither of which has been responsive. However, the display properties for the CATEGORY listings are responsive.
