-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.1
-- HikaSerial version -- : 1.10.1

-- PHP version -- : 5.5.30

Basically from what I understand of using hikaserial for printable gift cards when a user purchases a gift card they are sent an image that is generated that is essentially the gift card. We see a potential issue here and that is if someone is buying a goft card for themselves or for someone else and the email does not reach the recipient. Is it possible to set this up in a way that would allow for a user to either login to their account and have the email resent or would they be able to download the printable gift card from their order pages on their account?

We just need to know if this is possible and how to make this happen if this is something that you can provide some assistance for.

Thank you.

Hi,

In HikaSerial, the plugin "mail to custom field" allow to use an order (or item) custom field and send the "attach serial" image to another email.
The buyer will still receive the image in his confirmation email and the images will be also added in the next emails (if an admin send an email to the customer in the HikaShop backend).

The serials will be also display in the front-end customer order but the images won't be available.
To make them visible in the front-end order ; the best is to use the "attach as download" feature.
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/1...ns-attachserial.html

By using "attach as download", you can use the special "file path" provided by the plugin to create a virtual product file.
The virtual product file will be visible as a classical file that the customer can download after his purchase but instead of pointing to an existing file in your server ; the image will be dynamically generated.
