-- url of the page with the problem -- : dollarsaverprograms.com
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.3
-- HikaSerial version -- : 1.10.4
-- Joomla version -- : 3.5.1
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.26
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox 45.0.2
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : none

How can I print a sample certificate without having to purchase one? This would be quite handy when designing the certificate to be attached to the email and for showing prospective customers who might want to see what their certificate would look like. (attachserial plugin is what I'm using to create the certificates)

Hi,

There is no built-in preview for the certificate because it requires data from an order (with also a serial, a product and all the specification).

So generally, I create a sample order in the backend and I use the product file.
In the backend, you can download the product files without any limitation ; You just have to display the order, click on the file to see the attach serial and if you change the certificate configuration, you just need to refresh the image.

See "attach as download" part in the "attach serial" plugin.
The setting will also give you the content you have to put in the product configuration to create "virtual file" (for the attach serial plugin).

Jerome,
Forgive my ignorance, I see no where that i can download the serial. I've got the option set to be able to download the certificate, but I see no place to actually do it. Is there another setting somewhere that I may be missing?

Hi,

In the product configuration there is a zone "file".
You click on the "+" icon and set the "file path" with the value that the "attach serial" configuration gave you.
Then you will have a file to download in the new orders.

Thank you. I was able to get that to work. Sooooo much easier than to having to buy a certificate to see each change you make!

I was unable to find those specific instructions anywhere in the documentation. Just wondering if you could add them to the hikaserial instructions for the next person. In your abundant spare time! :)

Thanks!

Can you please explain

"You click on the "+" icon and set the "file path" with the value that the "attach serial" configuration gave you."

Where do you find this 'value' that attach serial gives you?

Hello,

In the "attach serial" configuration, you'd find a "attach as download" setting which gave you a special code.
