About drop shipping experience with Hika...

Hi

I just wonder if Hika multivendor also is good for drop shipping solution and if somebody have experience of using Hika multivendor with it?

So any tips on how good it work and whats your experience to share would be nice..

Hello,

"Drop shipping" is the "shipping per vendor" feature ; you can split the products into different shipping groups and let the customer see where he should

There you can see if you want your vendors to all use a "manual" shipping method or if you want that they all have to configure their own shipping methods.

Afterwards, you have to see how you want to manage the payment, if you want the vendor to be paid directly (collect on delivery) or not :

Hi,

I am currently analyzing the marketplace add-on for such a scenario (re: drop-shipping)

I am also curious about

(1) the import capabilities in HS. Can it do more than just import ? Can it synch with a drop shipper ?
(2) the vendor payments is cool, can it also send / fulfill the order with the vendor (a drop-shopper in this case) ?

Hello,

1 - The HikaShop import system is there to perform import. Afterwards I'm sorry but I don't know what you're talking about.
If you have specific questions for the HikaShop import, please post in the HikaShop section of the forum.

2 - When you "pay" the vendor in the HikaMarket backend, it creates a special kind of "order" and the vendor is notified for that.
And when order are made by customers, the vendors can also be notified for their sales.

I will continue my investigation and report back
It's going to be difficult to compete against Oberlo <-> Shopify here ... The intuitiveness of their combined solutions brings to a store administrator (drop-shipper) is something we (Hikashop) should probably look into.

Hi guys I think this is an important feature clarification and still not clear answer about the future e-commerce with Drop-shipping.

I think this was good questions to sort out and "The HikaShop import system is there to perform import. Afterwards I'm sorry but I don't know what you're talking about..:" maybe just have yes and now answer help understanding these questions

Hi SSnobben,

Currently, the Hikashop import process will simply import items from a file. There's no synch capabilities, it's purely importing (stop's there).

As for the vendor notifications on a sale, this sort of happens as a Drop Shipper would like by actually sending an order confirmation to the vendor for them to full-fill. This only works with the Marketplace version of Hikashop.

On my end, I enjoy the synch concept offered with Oberlo (just started) but it seems to be quite a large undertaking to reproduce for Hikashop/marketplace.

But ya, it would be very nice to see it happen
