Hi Nicolas

In my merchant account, I get this message.

After August 18, 2026, Content API for Shopping will no longer be supported. Starting September 1, 2026, calls to the Content API for Shopping will experience increased error rates. You need to migrate to Merchant API to ensure continued API access to Merchant Center. If you need more time you must apply for an extension using this.

I know that my shop has been setup for Cron job, do I need to change something, if yes, do you know what? Is it something inside Hika?

Br.
Peter

Hi Peter,

No, there is nothing to change in HikaShop. The Google Products plugin does not use Google's Content API for Shopping. Your cron job regenerates an XML feed file of your products, and Google gets it either by fetching that file from your site (a scheduled fetch set in Merchant Center) or through the SFTP upload the plugin does when its auto update option is on. Both are file feeds and are not affected by the end of the Content API, so you don't need to migrate anything for them: www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/8...google-products.html

Google shows that message when something connected to your Merchant Center account has been sending Content API requests. To find out what it is, open Settings > Data sources in Merchant Center and look at the source of each one. Your HikaShop feed appears as a file (scheduled fetch or SFTP upload). A source listed as "Content API" comes from another tool or service connected to the account, for example a feed or marketing app or an agency managing your products. That is the one to migrate or disconnect, and its provider has to move it to the Merchant API. If all your sources are files, you can ignore the message.
