Everytime we load a product it shows on the home

Please can you help
Everytime we put a new product on it shows on the homepage or as i call it my shoponline page how do i limit the amount it shows on the home page or not have them displayed at all

In the hikashop options of the associated module of your menu, change the option "sub element filter" to "direct sub elements" and that will do what you want.

This doesn't seem to work with a Joomla 2.5 installation

Don't worry. I'm an idiot. I created a product and put it in the wrong category so it was displaying absolutely correctly.
