Filter not working as it should
I have a problem with filters. I use a basic filter for my own website www.any-shop.nl . It's a searchbox for the entire website, no big deal.
That works great, if you go to the shop and put in the search field 16gb it shows everything i sell with 16gb.
I configured the filter as such:
Name: Zoeken
Type: Text
Categorie: All products (including sub)
Active: Yes
Send after clik: Yes
Removable: no
Dynamic: no
Options: product_code / product_description / product_keywords / product_name
Title position: Inside
# columns: 1
Max text: no
Search: Complete expression
Max length: empty
This works like a charm!
Now: I try to do thesame for a site for a customer. www.verfgoedkoper.nl
I do the EXACT same settings, with the EXACT same module attached to it, but when I search anything, the result is a blank page
You can test it at www.verfgoedkoper.nl/index.php/retourbeleid
I only activated the searchbar on that page so the customer doesn't see it yet.
Any idea on where the problem lies or what i can do to fix it?

This is:
Verfgoedkoper.nl, hét adres voor al uw verfbenodigdheden!
So every item in the store uses these values. I added it because I wanted to test what you are suggesting now

The issue is not with your filter but with the "menu" option of your filter module. On your first website, you have the id of a menu item of the type hikashop products listing which is configured to display all the products by default. On your second website, you have 0. So it goes to a products listing which doesn't display any products by default because it doesn't have any settings attached to it.

Finally got around to return to this issue.
a menu option with my filter module you say?
So how do I create such menu on my second website?

- Created new menu (in joomla) called 'fake hidden menu'
- Created menu item 'All Items'
- Saved the joomla menu
- Went to the Hikashop menu editing page
- Set all the settings like I wanted to show the results (DIV, 3 columns, max 30 products etc. etc.)
- Looked at ID number of the menu in Hikashop (221)
- Went to the module 'hika filter'
- Added it to the Basic Options on the right side. 'Menu: 221'
Saved.
And it all works perfect now!

the Filter Search Box is on the right hand side panel called "Search Resources" a search term such as "love" will give you 4 results and clicking on the Add button will place the item in the cart which is viewable from any of the regular pages

I just tested it through your website and noticed some JavaScript errors, so the solution will probably be to correct these JavaScript errors, note that using the jQuery Easy will probably help you.
