File Locations

Hi,
I have a questions about the file locations. Right now i am editing the styles and sometimes have to change things in the files under "view". Question is i saw some files being stored under the template that i am using. Other templates i can see under Display-views, but dont see the files under there. What if i want to make changes to my template and reinstall the template? Which folders would i have to save in order to keep the styles and the views?

Hi,

The view files are stored in the folder templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop as standard joomla view overrides. Normally, the template shouldn't remove the view overrides during a reinstall, but I would recommend to back it up before just in case (anyway, you should do a backup of your website before updating an extension, including templates).

Thank you nicolas,
Thats what i was wondering. I made changes to one template but the name stayed the same, so when removed i lost the view files.
Good to know though
